She’s 23 Years Old!!

We celebrated Holly’s 23rd birthday down in Ft. Lauderdale Florida, and it was an absolute blast! #theFoodAloneWasWorthTheTrip

Our trip wouldn’t be complete without a proper birthday dinner. We chose Seasons 52 as the locale best suited to celebrate the occasion. With a reservation set, and about 30 minutes to kill, we skipped around the closed mall just next door to pass the time. (We’d later return for a proper shopping adventure the next day.)

The dim lights throughout the restaurant set the mood and tone for our dinner. Once seated, we were overwhelmed with the diverse menu of this establishment. The menu was categorized into flatbreads, appetizers, land and sea options, as well as an extensive wine selection.

Holly and I sample a couple wines and opted for Inflection California 2015. The two samples of wine, plus the main bottle left size — SIX — wine glasses littering our table. Our food choice was lobster flatbread; split two ways. Our main course was the cedar-plank salmon. Oh, and we did an appetizer as well — lobster stuff mushrooms!

I mentioned to the waitress that it was Holly’s birthday, which prompted them to include two glasses of champaign and free dessert! The dessert options came to us on a platter of eight choices. I can best describe the options as “mini-cake-custard-mousse” things in tall shot glasses.

All-in-all, everything was amazing. We’d definitely visit again! Holly loved it so much, she actually left a glowing review on yelp. 🙂
